Andy Mockridge - FOUNDER
I began working in the building trade as a young teenager, on Saturday mornings and during school holidays, for a local firm, B S Hardacre Ltd. My father Doug Mockridge, was a director of this family firm.
After leaving school at 16 years, I joined B S Hardacres as a apprentice carpenter, working under the guidance of Paul Dimond, who had at least 30 years in the carpentry/building trade.
During the next 25 years or so I continued to gain skills and experience in all aspects of the building trade, and I also became a director of the company.
In 2012, Brian Hardacre and my father decided it was high time they retired and B S Hardacre Ltd ceased trading at the end of January. Not needing to retire I decided to set up my own company — ABC Building Services.
I Have 27 years of general building experience, though carpentry is my trade, I am able to call upon a wide range of other craftsmen when the need arises, all good experienced people in their own right.
